After having tried many different colognes- from Davidoff's juvenile Cool Water to Issey Miyake's well-balanced L'eau d'Issey, from Paco Rabanne's trashy XS to Dior's wonderfully sweet Eau Noire, from Kenneth Cole's understated Black to Gaultier's exciting Le Male, this picky reviewer must conclude that Vintage by John Varvatos is the nicest cologne that he has ever tried. Sweet but not sickening, elegant but playful, sophisticated but not stale, and masculine but not rough, Vintage has a unique combination of scents that will never be mistaken for any of the "generic-smelling" colognes so often turned out by even the designer perfumeries. Perfect for a date and suitable for a dressed-up day, I find that Vintage might be just a touch too casual for evening wear- but don't necessarily let that stop you. This is one fragrance that smells so good, you might just want to wear it all the time. Keep this on your shelf together with a bottle of Dolce & Gabbana, and you'll have an unstoppable combination of complementary fragrances that will bring you through any occasion smelling better than anyone else.

I found this to be a very modern,sexy,warm and enticing unisex scent. Masculine yet soft,gently spiced ,yet also with a touch of sweetness as the top note and woodsy, leather undertones. Gets even better the longer it is on the skin.

I received the product the day it was estimated. It arrived in a box that was all damaged, but luckily all the padding inside protected the package and there weren't any damage to it.
I hadn't smelled this product before. It was recommended by friends when the discussion of the 'sexiest' cologne was surfaced. It was described as 'sex on a beach with the scent of burning cinnamon on side'. I was going to a concert that week, and I figured I wouldn't mind smelling like that.
Sprayed the cologne on my inner-elbow, wrist, and neck that evening. The smell reminded me of a spicy Eternity, as if Eternity got wiser and started dating women that knew what they were doing as opposed to girls that just knew how to dress and put make up.
The smell lasts about 5 hours on me. The last note is the best when it becomes a mix of 'fresh' and cinnamon.

I wear a lot of cologne (probably too much), but this is one of the only colognes that people seem to respond to...A perfect stranger (on an elevator) asked me "What cologne are you wearing ?". Friends always tell me how good I smell when I am wearing this cologne.
I recommend it highly - and this Amazon price is cheap..

This scent is really different, and I have tried a lot of colognes. It reminds me of when I go to church on Christmas Eve, and the minister swings the incense burner around. It is a very calming scent not to be worn by teens. If you are over 30, you should try it!
